Conference Focuses on Partnerships

A two-day conference focused on building partnerships between community members, local government officials, non-profit organizations and businesses will be held July 24 and 25 at Coe College in Cedar Rapids. The Tools for Community Building conference, sponsored by the MidAmerica Housing Partnership, the Fellowship for Intentional Community and the Iowa Homeless and Housing Coalition, will feature speakers and panel discussions.

A block party will be held July 25 at 905 Third St. SE following conference activities. People interested in attending the conference should call Lynda Laughlin at the MidAmerica Housing Project for more information. Registration is required by July 22 and costs $20.
