An EcoYouth Case History: Matt Mitchell
The Gazette, Sept. 11, 1999
In my four years with the EcoYouth program, I found within myself a sense of self- worth I never knew I had. As I went through the program, and as more and more responsibility was entrusted to me, I found I had the ability to rise to it as needed. Yes, it was often stressful, but I think I learned from stress as well. The whole experience was extremely helpful to me, and will always be key in my life.
Upon completion, I found a good job in sales, and now when I visit MAHP I see my younger brother in the program, going through the same ups and downs I went through myself. I am sure the lessons he learns in EcoYouth will be as important to him as they were, and still are, to me.
