Octoberfish delights with fresh fish, live music and local art

KCBY, Oct 10, 2011

Live music, beverages and lots of fun. This may sound like an Octoberfest event, but we’re talking about Octoberfish!

A fundraising event meant to include the entire family took over the old Charleston school Saturday.

Six local bands played music for this great cause, and the Tuna Guys barbecued fresh albacore caught off our coast during the Tuna Classic Fishing Tournament.

There were also vendors selling arts, picture frames and planters, along with OIMB students who created a game for kids.

Kids also got to have a blast painting fish and getting their faces painted.

Admission to this fundraiser was only a buck, and it went to support a great cause.

ORCCA‘s children’s programs, including Snack Pack, CASA, Head Start and Community Action Adventure will all get a boost from admission to Octoberfish.
