Looking to volunteer? ORCCA hosting volunteer open houses
KCBY, Jan 25, 2010
If you’re looking to volunteer in the community but don’t know where to start, Oregon Coast Community Action will be hosting two volunteer open houses for folks looking to give back.
The two open houses, this Thursday the 28, and Saturday the 30, are being held for anyone looking to learn how to get involved in the community.
According to ORCCA Volunteer Coordinator Madeline Enos, their programs are dependent on volunteers, and there are many ways to get involved.
They’re looking for help with all their programs including CASA, South Coast Food Share Warehouse, the Energy Assistance hot-line and South Coast Head Start.
If time is your problem, Enos says you can volunteer as little or as much as you want.
“It really varies, essentially we’re really happy to work with people’s schedules and expertise.”
The first open house is this Thursday, January 28 from 4 to 6 pm.
The second open house is Saturday, January 30 from 12 to 2.
They will be held on the second floor of the South Coast Food Share Warehouse on the Southwestern Campus, across from the gym.
For more information call Madeline Enos at 541-888-7070.
