Filipino group donates money to non-profits
KCBY, Jan 25, 2010
Four area non-profit agencies have a little more money to work with today, thanks to the Oregon Coast Filipino American Association.
On Friday, the association gave out $1,000 to the four groups, including the T.H.E. House, the Women’s Safety and Resource Center, ORCCA’s South Coast Food Share, and the SMART program.
Every year, the group chooses a handful of area non-profits to donate money to, with money raised from fundraisers and other functions.
They also donated $850 to the Red Cross, to help with disaster funding in the Philippines.
