It’s been five years in the making and Monday, community members got the first tour of Oregon Coast Community Action’s new facilities.
Construction is coming along for two new facilities in Coos Bay.
A 30,000 square-foot buildings will house The Child Family Resource Center, along with seven Head Start classrooms.
Allowing Head Start to continue to provide services to approximately 170 children and families.
“Letting them see the community cared enough to build this community does more than just educate them, it gives them a vision to where they should aspire to” says Representative, Arnie Roblan.
The new 12,000 square-foot Food Bank will allow more space to store and deliver food.
Construction should be finished as soon as next month.
