ORCCA builds two new locations

KCBY,  Apr 9, 2012

It’s been five years in the making and next month, Oregon Coast Community Action’s South Coast Food Share will have a new home.

Construction is underway for two new facilities in Coos Bay.

A 30,000 square foot buildings will house The Child Family Resource Center along with seven Head Start classrooms.

The new 12,000 square foot Food Bank will allow more space to store and deliver food.

“Having a whole new dedicated building with hopefully new computer new systems like, in the future we are going to be able to streamline our process and just have it down to a great system with even more food” says Amanda D’Souza with ORCCA.

D’Souza says the new facilities will create 175 jobs in Coos County.
